Traveling with kids is a challenge. It's not possible to trust the internet on top of a mountain. I like to cook at home.
It was true.. My children think that the WiFi up on the mountain isn't very strong. Although it's small it isn't within normal range of cell networks. My kids have to search for better internet access while my wife and me set tiny camping sites. We plan to stay here for at least a day. The small brook is close by and provides water for our camp. My kids are back on social media, while I admire the panorama. It's not very big but it's bordered on all sides by higher hills. To be near mother nature We visit this hill every once in the blue moon. These trips are among my favorites and I'm also the only person who really enjoys these trips. My wife is the sole one to insist of taking me out, partly because she know how much I love being out here, in the wild. My kids are very different. I hate that the Internet sometimes becomes unavailable. Your streaming music may be interrupted by something within the cloud or other magnetic movements for up to one minute before it is restored. This is really annoying even to me, cause I usually end up hearing it all happen..
So, after several trips during which there was no internet and regular internet on our smartphones kept going between being in and out of service and out of service, we decided to be prepared. We, and I mean my wife and myself here, decided to prepare for the possibility that they, our children, will have no internet access for more than 10 minutes.. We came up with two entertainment sources that we could access at any time the internet isn't available on our camping trips. One of them was a tablet that is filled with music videos as well as current charts topping songs. Our favourite Youtube MP3 converter helped us extract music from videos then convert them to MP3 format and then download the songs to our tablet. It also supported playlists, which made it extremely fast, even though it sounds extremely long. If anyone was feeling down or depressed, they could still listen to music or watch videos. It's also good news for all of us, sound can be heard through Bluetooth-connected headphones. This is pretty cool, don't you think? It made no noise.
The second tablet was mostly animated TV shows, cartoons and films that we downloaded from Hulu as well as Netflix. The apps also have offline storage so you can watch them later. While the quality may not be the best but it's still enjoyable. There are many seasons of Breaking Bad and lots of cartoons such as Family Guy and Disenchantment. It was very entertaining and user-friendly. All you have to do is install the app, enable downloads for offline viewing or downloading episodes and then mark them as ready for download. The app will take care of everything. Tablet 2 came several times following tablet 1 but it was available when we arrived at The Wild. My kids could not stop watching their favorite shows. I personally added some DIY videos, such as putting up the tent and skinning fresh caught fish.. These are activities you could not do at home. These videos I downloaded from Youtube then converted to MP4 and then saved on my tablet. It's much easier to play videos on your tablet while you're working and can't bother waiting for the video to play when you're there.. Download the video onto your tablet in time, so later do not waste your time doing the issue.
These two tricks kept my kids busy on four family camping trips. They're not afraid of leaving the house now - they know tablet 2 will help them get through their boring afternoons and will bring it back home when they're at their best. I've never felt happier, it's really all I've ever wanted - to be with my family.
